Terms for the supply, installation and servicing of Precision Aqua reverse osmosis systems. Last updated 7 October 2026.
1.1 Precision Aqua is a trading name of Aquatic Installation & Maintenance Limited, registered in England with company number 12181301. Our registered office is Unit 13c Southend Road, Rettendon Common, Chelmsford, CM3 8EB. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean that company.
1.2 “You” means the business or organisation that places the order. These terms apply only to customers buying in the course of a business, trade or profession, or as a public body. We do not sell to consumers on these terms.
1.3 “System” means the reverse osmosis unit we supply, including its pre-filters, membranes, control system, pump and fittings. “Service plan” means an Essential, Professional or Complete plan described in section 10.
1.4 “Contract” means your accepted quote together with these terms. If the quote and these terms conflict, the quote wins.
2.1 Every system is designed for your site. We quote after assessing your water use, water source, supply pressure and flow, and site location.
2.2 A quote is valid for 30 days from the date on it.
2.3 The contract starts when you accept our quote in writing (email is fine) and, for an outright purchase or a monthly payment agreement, we receive your deposit.
2.4 The design depends on the information you give us about your site and water supply. If that information turns out to be wrong, we may need to change the specification or price, and we will agree any change with you in writing before we go ahead.
3.1 Our list prices are:
| System | Output per hour | List price |
|---|---|---|
| Base | 150–200 L | £6,999 |
| Mid | 350–425 L | £9,999 |
| High | 700–800 L | £13,000 |
3.2 We are not registered for VAT, so no VAT is added. If we register for VAT in future, we will tell you before you order and our quote will show VAT where it applies.
3.3 Delivery, installation and service visits carry a travel charge for time on the road at £135 per hour, one way, from our base in Essex. We do not charge mileage.
3.4 Sites more than 175 miles from our base carry an extra £150 for an overnight stay.
3.5 Labour outside a service plan, extra visits and call-outs are charged at £135 per hour.
3.6 Installation labour is included in the system price, provided your water supply is suitable (section 6).
4.1 If you pay outright, you receive a 3% discount on the list price of the system.
4.2 You pay 50% when you place your order and the remaining 50% on the day of installation.
4.3 Travel charges for each delivery, installation or visit must be paid before we set off for your site.
5.1 Monthly payments are available only to limited companies and public bodies (such as schools, colleges and universities). They are not available to sole traders, partnerships or individuals.
5.2 You pay a deposit of around 40% of the list price when you order, then the balance in 24 equal monthly payments. No interest is charged, so the total you pay is the list price.
| System | Deposit | Balance | 24 monthly payments |
|---|---|---|---|
| Base | £2,799 | £4,200 | £175 |
| Mid | £3,999 | £6,000 | £250 |
| High | £5,200 | £7,800 | £325 |
5.3 The first monthly payment is due one month after installation. Payments are made by standing order on the same date each month.
5.4 If a payment is more than 14 days late, we will write to you. If it is still unpaid 14 days after that letter, we may:
5.5 We may charge interest on late payments under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
5.6 You may pay off the remaining balance early at any time, with no extra charge.
6.1 Before installation day you must provide, at your cost:
6.2 Your incoming supply is your responsibility. The pipework that brings water to the system belongs to you or your water supplier. Our systems, including any booster pump, draw water from that supply. Older supplies, particularly lead or small-bore pipes, can be damaged by negative pressure (vacuum). To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for damage to your incoming water main or supply pipework, including damage caused by negative pressure.
6.3 Notifying your water supplier. An RO system is a water treatment unit that discharges waste water, and a booster pump drawing more than 12 litres a minute also counts. Both must be notified to your local water supplier before installation: under Regulation 5 of the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999 in England and Wales, and Byelaw 5 of the Water Supply (Water Fittings) (Scotland) Byelaws 2014 in Scotland. You are responsible for giving that notice. We will give you the system details you need for the form.
6.4 You must send us a copy of the supplier’s consent (or confirm that 10 working days have passed since notice was given without a reply) before installation day. We will not connect the system without it. If the supplier attaches conditions, you must tell us and we will quote for any changes they require.
6.5 If installation is delayed because the site is not ready or consent has not been given, we may charge for wasted travel and time at the rates in section 3.
6.6 If your water main is not suitable on installation day, you can have it put right and we will return to install, with the further visit and installation charged at our standard rates (section 3). If you cancel instead, section 12.1 applies.
7.1 We deliver and install anywhere in mainland UK, including Scotland. We will agree an installation date with you once the system is built.
7.2 Dates we give are estimates. We will keep you informed, but we are not liable for delays caused by things outside our reasonable control, such as supplier delays, severe weather or the site not being ready.
7.3 At installation we commission the system, show your staff how it works, and give you in writing the pre-filter change volume set for each pre-filter. Keep this record: the guarantee in section 9 depends on it.
7.4 Installation is complete when the system is producing water to the agreed specification, or would be but for a problem with your site or supply.
8.1 The system is your responsibility to protect from loss or damage from the moment it is delivered to your site.
8.2 The system remains our property until we have received full payment, including every monthly payment. Until then you must keep it insured, in good condition and at the installed site, and must not sell, lend or charge it.
8.3 If you do not pay as agreed (section 5.4), you allow us reasonable access to your site to remove the system. We will give you at least 7 days’ written notice first.
9.1 Systems installed by Precision Aqua are guaranteed against faults in materials and workmanship for 24 months from installation. The pump is guaranteed for 12 months, or for the pump manufacturer’s warranty period if that is longer. Systems not installed by us are not covered.
9.2 If a covered fault appears, tell us promptly. We will repair or replace the faulty part at no charge for parts, labour or travel. If we find the fault was caused by user error, changes to the control system’s software settings, or modifications to the hardware, it is not covered: we will charge travel, and on-site labour to diagnose and repair it, at the rates in section 3.
9.3 Pre-filters must be changed at the volumes we set for your system and gave you in writing at installation. The controller’s flow meter records the volume. If pre-filters are not changed at those volumes, the guarantee is void.
9.4 Pre-filter changes carried out under a Precision Aqua service plan automatically meet this condition.
9.5 The guarantee does not cover:
9.6 This guarantee is in addition to any rights you have by law.
10.1 Service plans are optional and separate from the purchase of the system.
| Plan | Service visits per year | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | 1 | £25 a month |
| Professional | 2 | £49 a month |
| Complete | 4 | £99 a month |
10.2 Every visit includes a pre-filter change, a membrane performance test, a control system check and a written report.
10.3 Pre-filter cartridges, laboratory tests (ICP-OES and microbial testing of incoming and product water) and travel are charged per visit. Extra visits and call-outs are charged at £135 per hour.
10.4 Visits are booked with an average lead time of 2–3 weeks. Pre-filters are changed by volume, so a busy system may need a change between scheduled visits. We will tell you when one is due.
10.5 A service plan has no fixed end date and continues until you or we end it. You may end it by giving us 30 days’ written notice. If we sell the business, we may transfer your plan to the new owner on the same terms; if we stop trading, we will give you at least 30 days’ notice.
10.6 We may review plan prices once a year and will give you at least 30 days’ notice of any change.
10.7 We can also service RO systems we did not supply. Send us a video and photos of the unit first so we can confirm whether we can take it on. The guarantee in section 9 does not apply to those systems.
11.1 Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.
11.2 We are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business, loss of livestock or stock, or any indirect or consequential loss.
11.3 Our total liability under or in connection with the contract is limited to the price you paid for the system.
11.4 You should keep suitable backup arrangements for any process that relies on the system’s output.
12.1 Each system is built to order. If you cancel your order at any time, we keep a non-refundable £1,000 or 10% of the system price in your quote, whichever is greater, and refund the rest of what you have paid.
12.2 Either of us may end the contract by written notice if the other materially breaches these terms and does not put it right within 14 days of being asked, or becomes insolvent.
12.3 Ending the contract does not affect any payment already due, or sections 8, 11 and 14.
13.1 We use the contact and site details you give us to quote, install, service and invoice. We keep service records, including water test results and flow meter readings, for the life of the system. Our Privacy policy explains how we handle personal data.
14.1 These terms and your quote are the whole agreement between us. Changes must be agreed in writing.
14.2 We may update these terms. The version in force when you accept your quote applies to your order.
14.3 If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
14.4 These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
